Advocacy Events
Our Chamber hosts a variety of advocacy related events throughout the year in an effort to keep members and elected officials informed of issues affecting the Southwest Michigan business community. From monthly CEO Council meetings to our chamber’s “Day at the Capitol,” we are working tirelessly to ensure the “Voice for Business” in Southwest Michigan is heard loud and clear.
CEO Council Meetings
We hold monthly “Chief Elected Official” Council Meetings where we gather decision makers from across Berrien County to give community updates and share best practices.
Pints & Politics
We also hold monthly “Pints & Politics” gathers which are a more informal way for local elected officials across Berrien County to get to know one another and collaborate across communities.
Legislative Breakfasts
We hold Legislative Breakfasts where members have the chance to meet with their state level elected officials, hear their legislative updates, and ask them questions.
Eye Opener Sessions
We hold “Eye Opener Sessions” where we bring in an expert to discuss an emerging or consistent policy issue facing the Southwest Michigan business community.
Business Tours
We will work with your local, state, and federal elected officials to find a day where they can visit your place of employment, take a tour, and learn what they can do to help your organization thrive.
Candidate Forums
Our chamber will hold non-partisan candidates forums in contentious races for local, state, and federal office in an effort to educate our members, and the public-at-large, on where the candidates stand regarding important business and community issues.
Day at the Capitol
Each term, our Chamber will spend a “Day at the Capitol”, meeting with legislators and discussing policy priorities important to Southwest Michigan. Members are welcome to join and can receive a tour of the Capitol before heading home.
