The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber has announced it will host State Treasurer Rachel Eubanks and State Budget Director Chris Harkins for a virtual presentation on the state budget from 2 to 3 p.m. this coming Tuesday, March 29.
Eubanks and Harkins, both cabinet-level state officials, will join the Regional Chamber via Zoom to provide a comprehensive overview of the impact of COVID-19 on state finances; an update on the Michigan and U.S. economy; and an outline of new budget proposals contained within Governor Whitmer’s recent executive budget recommendation. The presentation will be open to the public, and those attending will have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the presenters directly.
