About the Program

Management Accelerator takes a deep dive into people leadership. This offering under the Chamber’s “Leadership Academy” umbrella, will launch on September 11th. Management Accelerator is designed to help leaders enhance their communication skills, maximize their performance, and inspire their teams, because strong leaders increase employee engagement and ultimately boost productivity for the success of businesses across our community.

What You Will Learn

The curriculum consists of three full-day sessions, September 11, October 2, and November 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.. Program sessions are taught by a local leadership expert alongside local leaders and are held at LMC’s Benton Harbor Campus, 2755 E. Napier Ave., Benton Harbor. Modules include: Establish Your Leadership Brand, Maximize Your Teams Performance, and Master Leadership Communication. Additionally, each participant will compete a Hogan Insights assessment and have the opportunity to receive a one-on-one coaching session by a certified leadership coach.

Who Should Apply

Management Accelerator is perfect for:

  • Newer Leaders: Individuals who have been promoted to a people leadership role in the past several years, regardless of their level in the organization.
  • Supervisors and Managers: Leaders of people who have not yet had any (or minimal) formal leadership development experiences.
  • Small Business Owners: Individuals who manage people through the course of running their own business.

No matter your background or industry, this program will help you take your leadership to the next level.

 

How to Apply

Applying is easy and free. A maximum of 25 participants will be selected through this competitive process. Program partners will consider a multitude of factors when reviewing candidates, including but not limited to: current leadership role, commitment to 100% program attendance, and previous completion of Leadership Accelerator. Leadership Accelerator alumni will be offered early application. There is no cost to apply.

 

Tuition

Tuition for Management Accelerator is $1,500 per participant, due at the outset of the program. The participant’s employer or sponsoring organization generally covers the cost of the program.

The program is run in partnership between the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber of Commerce and Lake Michigan College, organizations that inherently understand that prosperity for our community is dependent on visionary and skilled leaders who are well-equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. Together, with support from the Leadership Advisory Council, they work to deliver holistic leadership programming focused on personal evolution, professional development, and community engagement.
